H1N1 Flu Vaccinations To Be Given Out To Morongo B...

YUCCA VALLEY, CA- Morongo Basin residents will have the opportunity to get free H1N1 (Swine Flu) vaccinations beginning on Wednesday.

San Bernardino County has partnered with the Morongo Unified School District to provide free vaccinations to residents 6 months of age and older at certain schools:

The Valley Celebrates The Life of Dr. Martin Luthe...

DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA- The Fifteenth Annual Mid-Valley Interfaith Group met on Monday at the First Community Baptist Church in Desert Hot Springs to honor the life of slain civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, with plenty of memories, song and dance.

Father Ned Reidy from the Pathfinder Church of the Risen Christ played host, speaking of their personal reflections of Dr. King and his legacy on the world today. Rev. Ken T. MacLean from the Unitarian Universalist Church in Rancho Mirage had one encounter with Dr. King way back in the 1960s in Tennessee.

Desert Local News Now Serving The Morongo Basin...

It’s a new year and it’s also time for Desert Local News to broaden their horizons. Starting January 2010, DLN will now be covering cities in the Morongo Basin, from Morongo Valley to Twentynine Palms. We will bring you up-to-the-minute news regarding local politics, crime, and soon sports. Reporters Leslie Andrews, Harriet Brindle and Vicki Lawson will be serving the Morongo Basin area the same way they have served the community of Desert Hot Springs since 2006.
