Packed House of Residents Attend Green Path North ...

DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA- A standing-room only crowd came to Carl May Center Thursday night to listen to a group of panelists discussing the proposed Green Path North program, which is the city of Los Angeles’ own plan to install transmission power lines across the desert floor, stretching across Desert Hot Springs and parts of Yucca Valley.

Shadow Government Statistics (SGS) www.shadowstats.com and their CEO John Williams estimate that 899,000 people lost jobs in the last month after adjusting for seasonality in the numbers, and there was a restatement upward of job losses in Jan 2009 and December 2008.

March 5 (Bloomberg) — Bank of America Corp. will suffer “grave and irreparable harm” if Merrill Lynch & Co. employees paid $3.6 billion in bonuses just before the firm’s acquisition by the bank are publicly identified, its lawyers said.

Jonsrud Vs. DHSPD: Family Attorney Speaks...

DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA- 18-year-old Travis Jonsrud remains in the Intensive Care Unit at Desert Regional Medical Center after being shot by Desert Hot Springs police on Wednesday at the intersection of Palm Drive and Hacienda Avenue. Now, his family’s attorney speaks about the way the situation was handled by the police department.

Utility Tax To Appear On May 19 ‘Ballot-Parc...

DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA- For more practical reasons, the Desert Hot Springs City Council voted 4 to 0 to place the Utility Users Tax on the upcoming special election ballot on May 19th. However, the Parcel Tax issue for now has been tabled, provided that more information be absorbed by staff.
